Baby Bean is on his way!

We're a little behind since our last post... over a year :) And since our last post we've become pregnant with a little boy! Although it's still hard for me to call it a him... to the unending annoyance of Brandon and my mother I tend to call him 'It.' While everyone else can wrap their minds around the fact that the little guy is indeed a boy, all I feel is a weird creature moving around inside of me. I don't think I'll be able to truly recognize it as a 'him' until he's lying in my arms. We'll see :)

So far I've been really lucky with my pregnancy, no sickness or complications thank goodness. Hopefully the remainder (which isn't very much longer at all) will continue to be good. I can't believe that I'm already 29 weeks along... that's already 7+ months along! I'm slowly starting to freak out when I stop and think about the fact that the baby will be here in 2 months. I am so not ready! Well, I am, but I'm not. I still have so much to get ready!

Poor Brandon has had to put up with me and my crazy emotions and cravings. Luckily, I'm past the obnoxious crying fits and temper tantrums... that second trimester sure tested his patience with me. Good thing I'm so cute, otherwise I don't think he would've hung around :) Now I'm just stuffing my face constantly! So happy for me!

Well, that's about it... nothing too crazy going on, just a typical pregnancy (I think... I haven't ever been prego before, so I don't have a lot to compare it with). So cross your fingers and wish us luck... hopefully we won't screw up this whole parenting thing too badly.

2010

Well we have made it through the Holidays. With both of us working in the world of retail the holidays just flew by! The best part was both of us were able to take a week off around Christmas ( a miracle in of it self) and then visit both sides of the Family! Christmas was wonderful and we loved seeing everyone and yes we enjoyed getting presents. :)

January is already moving by in a flash. Samantha is back in college working to finish up her last semester of classes. Then she will only have to do her semester of student teaching! She is just so grown up. As for me I am the same sexy man that I have always been, except for the fact that when I actually go and play basketball or do something physical I need extra time to recuperate. Getting old is hard.

Well I have decided to make a New Years resolution, yes this is my first and possibly my only one of the year. I will double my followers on this blog! Ok, so going from 1 to 2 isn't hard but it is a great step for me.

Anyways happy New Years to everyone and I hope you are all excited for plenty of updates and exciting happening from the most Northern McGarys in Utah.

To Texas and back

Fishing, golfing, swimming, shopping, eating out, and much, much more! What else could anyone ask for? For the past two years Samantha and I have been able to travel, and visit family, down in southern Texas. Specifically McAllen, Edinburg and South Padre Island. It has been a wonderful time to let go and relax. No work, school, or worries for the entire week. This most recent trip down was filled with tons of golfing for Brandon, shopping for Samantha, fishing for the both of us (with a few minor boat problems) and lots of sun. I thought it would be nice to share a few pictures of our time down there. Enjoy!

Brandon meets Samantha

First things first, there are two things I am not. One, someone who has excelled in English and two, an experienced blogger. So bear with me as I try and share some of our experiences and interests with all of you.

I wanted to start with a post on the very first time I "made a move" for the beautiful Samantha. I'm not sure who I have actually shared this with, but it is funny and kind of interesting.

We both were living in Old Farm, an apartment complex, and going to College at Utah State. I had been in Logan for maybe two weeks when I noticed a cute girl walking around Old Farm. Sami was always with her cousin so I thought that I could get one of my roommates to go with me to her apartment to "get to know" them. I needed my wing man, Maverick was on the move. Well one day my roommate/Goose and I (Maverick) were walking up to campus to go to the gym and I saw Sami and her cousin crossing the road in front of us! They also were going to gym! Perfect, now I could make my move. So I told my roommate that we should catch up to them and see if we could talk with them and set up something.

Keep in mind I have not even said hi to Sami prior to this moment. Well, we were just behind them so I needed to do something to get her attention and for some reason saying hello was not good enough for me at the time! So putting all of my charisma, charm and McGary manliness together I decided on the best move I had. I should kick her foot and get her attention. For some odd reason it seemed great at the time. Looking back I have no idea why I thought that that was a good idea.

Well I made my move I charismaticaly kicked her delicate (and lovely) foot and let me tell you, the sparks flew imediately. That is to say something flew imediately, unfortinately it wasn't sparks. It was my future wife! I had kicked her foot and caused her to tangle her feet and trip! After gaining her balance she turned around with a very puzzled and confused look on her face. Only to see a now not so confident face, but a scared and embarassed face.

That right, before I had even said hello I tripped Samantha. I guess I had been going about it all wrong with being nice and saying hello or cracking a joke. All I needed to do was make her fall for me!
